Yssy
Hailing from the coastal redwoods of Northern California, Yssy brings a grounded and earthy energy to the True Naked Yoga community. Having grown up practicing yoga alongside her mother and spending her summers at the river, nudity and movement have always been a natural part of her life.
With a background in organic farming and a deep love for fresh produce, Yssy’s lifestyle is rooted in the rhythms of nature. She officially certified as a yoga teacher after an intensive training in Mexico, focusing on the calming, restorative benefits of the practice. When she isn’t on the mat, you can find her at home cooking farm-to-table meals or finding stillness in the mindful, hours-long ritual of crocheting.

Welcome to Yoga for Surfers with Yssy. Designed around the physical demands of surfing, this intermediate Vinyasa session is the perfect cross-training tool for anyone looking to build lasting strength and mobility. We focus heavily on functional body mechanics: prioritizing chest and shoulder mobility to reverse upper back tension, and building the deep core strength required for agility and balance.
Yssy leads you through functional transitions combined with heat-building Sun and Moon Salutations. By actively releasing the exact places where the body holds the most physical stress, this practice sharpens your mental clarity and physical endurance. It’s a straightforward, highly functional flow to keep you strong and centered both in and out of the water.
*For this program we recommend two yoga blocks.
This program will help you:
Boost Paddle Power: Open your chest and shoulders for more efficient, fluid movement.
Stabilize Your Core: Build the deep abdominal strength needed for faster, more stable pop-ups.
Total Body Recovery: Release deep-seated tension in the lower back, hamstrings, and upper spine.
Enhance Endurance: Improve lung capacity and breath control for better physical performance.
Cultivate Focus: Sharpen the mental clarity needed to stay calm and centered under pressure.
Namaste!
