Jade
Jade Monet is a full-time freelance model and movement artist based in Portland, Oregon. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest with a background in dance, gymnastics, cheer, and acrobatics, she has always expressed herself through her body and fell in love with yoga around the age of eight as a way to support her mental health. Today she maintains a dedicated practice that includes yoga, acro, and strength training, using each pose as a chance to focus, clear her mind, and cultivate discipline. Years of nude modeling have helped Jade see the body as art, and practicing yoga naked feels especially natural and freeing to her, removing the restrictions of clothing and celebrating our unfiltered human form. She encourages students to honor their own journey, comparing their progress only to who they were yesterday.

Welcome to Heart-Opening Yin Yoga with Jade, a journey of deep release and stillness. This all-levels session is designed to target the connective tissues of the chest, shoulders, and upper back. Unlike a fast-paced flow, this Yin series invites you to settle into floor-based postures for extended periods, allowing for a profound opening of the heart space and a quiet reset for the nervous system. Using props like blocks and bolsters, you will find supported shapes that encourage the body to let go of deep-seated tension and stress.
The sequence begins with grounding stillness in Savasana before moving into therapeutic shapes like Waterfall and Reclining Butterfly. You will explore intense yet restorative heart-openers such as Anahatasana (Melting Heart) and Sphinx, alongside deep hip-openers like Swan. This practice also incorporates gentle, rhythmic movement to maintain spinal fluidity between long, static holds. Whether you are looking to balance a vigorous workout routine or simply need a dedicated hour of mindfulness, this practice will leave you feeling spacious, centered, and completely at ease.
*For this sequence we recommend the use of two yoga blocks and a bolster or pillow.
This program will help you:
Counteracting “desk posture” by opening the chest and rounding out the shoulders.
Increasing hip and psoas flexibility through long, supportive holds.
Relieving lower back tension utilizing gentle, supported backbends.
Calming the nervous system to cultivate a deep sense of inner tranquility.
Namaste!
